I'm about to start in a public high school. I've always gone to a private school my whole life. Any advice in being confident and comfortable and style ideas on a budget?Any advice for a soon to be freshman?
Take your freshman year very seriously and don't think that it doesn't count. If you blow off your freshman year, you will have cut your overall GPA by a third. Colleges will see your overall GPA when you apply for them in the fall of your senior year. Your GPA will be the most primary tool for getting into a college. When a university gets 20,000 applications a year, the first thing the admissions office will do is reject all students who have below a certain GPA. If you had srcewed around freshman year, you would need to work twice as hard both sophomore and junior years to being the overall GPA up.Any advice for a soon to be freshman?
Upperclassmen aren't as mean as all that, just stay out of their way. Don't get lost cuz then you look like a loser. Smile at people WHO LOOK FRIENDLY. If they look sketchy, then they probably are (at least, for someone coming from private school). areopastel.com and your local thrift shop (which sounds stupid but isn't because you can find cute vintage stuff that no one else will have) DO NOT dress like a slut, or you'll be labeled as one and everyone will hate you. Be polite and don't start rumors. You sound like a cool kid, just be yourself. You may want to get a planner too. Surprisingly, it helps SO MUCH to be organized. Totally takes away stress Oh, and ditto with the grades. Don't make your GPA your WHOLE life, just give it some thought before you spend your year partying. You won't remember the party you went to Friday night but you will remember the C you got in Algebra... especially when you don't get into that one college.
yeah hang out with preps they will take u far. be ready for change because private schools and public schools are soo different just relax and as long as you have cute hair clean skin and 2 expensive shirts everything else you wear depends on how you feel wearing it
I'm also going to be a freshman next year!
