Because you're crazy and you have faith tthat he will become the faithful, loving companion that you foresee him to be. And in those tender moments when he looks at you with those adoring eyes, he just melts your heart! Sometimes he makes you laugh out loud, while other times he makes you want to rip your hair out and curse the day you conceived the notion of getting him.... but his puppy love........ ahhhhhh.... that's just between you and him.
And he won't care if you get fat. :)Don't need advice, just want to be reminded why I want this 6 week old peeing, pooping machine called a puppy.
'cause they're cuuuuddly. :D
Well I don't have a dog. I have 2 squirrel monkeys. But They are tons of work. Most people think I am NUTS. DAILY I have to fix them their specialized diet, clean their indoor sleeping cages, hose down their large outdoor enclosure, put fresh baby blankets and stuffies in their sleeping cages, diaper them when out of the cage because they can never be potty trained. AHH yes and try to keep them from chewing off the last remaining crown molding in my room. Oh yeah and the times they run round diaperless and ';GO'; just about anywhere, even on my curtains.
BUT it is all worth it when I sit on my bed and they jump on me to play, or sit on my shoulder with their little tiny hands on my face, licking my neck and purring in monkey heaven. THAT makes all the time, effort, and work WORTH every moment. :)
SO the next time you get upset that you dog peed in the house, picture me chasing a naked monkey around my room that is pooping everywhere and realize that you don't have it that bad.
Animals are so innocent. They depend on us to care for them, and will love you always if you provide them with their needs.
Best of luck!
He won't stop on his own. He's going to need training and that is up to you.
i understand how it is and i hope your puppy and you become BFF's 4 lyf
The unconditional love they give you.
I hope you are correcting him about peeing in the house. He will continue to do so if you don't do anything about changing that behavior. Although he may like the new puppy this is his way of saying that he's not happy about something. Is the puppy peeing in the house? If so this could be the way that the Chi mix is marking over the new puppies pee. Puppies are very difficult to deal with especially if you don't have much patience.
Hope things start getting better and no more peeing in the house. :)
You state the reasons in your question.
But here are a few more...
1. A companion who does not question you or your motives.
2. A freind who is always glad to see you, even when they are not feeling well.
3. UNCONDITIONAL LOVE%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;%26gt;
Those are just a few.
Good Luck.
Puppy breath, excitement at just seeing you, kisses all over your face, unconditional love, antics that make you laugh till you cry.
What is your problem?
You don't need reminding, just look down at the pure love that is smiling up at you. WOOOOOOOF!!!!!!
As for the chihuahua, he is marking because he wants to be the boss (Alpha) and will settle once he is used to the pup, meantime growl if you see it happening and put him outside. If neccesary go out with them both and praise each one as it toilets. Great way to house train baby anyway and once Chi is acting normally again, baby will be housetrained by the wee one. How good is that? Don't even have to do the housebreaking yourself. My chinese crested is housetraining a new baby poodle for me even as I speak. WONDERFUL.
Don't use a bleach to clean Chi wee-wee, go to pet shop for correct one or baby will begin peeing on chi-pee. Other than that, sit on the floor and smell puppy breath,,,,,,,,,,heaven.
Been there done that 4 times and everytime I wolud ask myself that I will look at my 4 babies and say what would I do without you. I would be lost and they age from 7 yrs, 5 yrs, 4yrs,%26amp; 9 months and without them I would be lost. Look at it this way no matter if you are having a bad day and you are down right grumpy they will love you anyway. Cheer up it gets better. I love all 4 of mine the same and they love me in return just like my 9 month old one people told me I needed another dog like I need another hole in my head and I said well dont worry about it he is mine and I am the one that has to take care of him and so on and so forth
the good times you will have, the laughs you will get, the affection you will receive, the i dont care who your are or what you do no matter what i will love you. the incredible joy you are in their eyes, because to your dogs you are the world, and no one can take it away.
Puppies are adorable, cute, sweet little companions that keep you company. I have one that we rescued off the street. His name is scottie.
You love to hug him and kiss him and cuddle him and squeeze him and coddle him and smooch him and ';coochy-coo'; him and touch him and feel him and rub him and pet him and.....
because you want your house to stink. and when you want to sell it no one will want it. cause it stinks like pee and poop. or your renting and don't care cause you will move leaving it to stink of pee and poop for the poor owner
Dogs are great because they will always love you and greet you with a smile. He will learn were and when to go and what he can and can't chew. Hold him, cuddle him and that should remind you why you love him.
I hear that!!! Been there, done that, bought the t shirt!!!
Next time you are having a really bad day, and your pup crawls into your lap, just because he thinks you need him, You'll know why! Good luck girlfriend.
No idea, much easier to adopt an adult dog from a rescue or shelter.
Since you have the puppy, I would suggest potty training (crate training works best) and neutering asap before the leg lifting becomes a habit.
Have fun.
