What's would be your advice for dry, thinning, natural (not relaxed) African-American hair?

What would be your advice for someone with this hair type that wants to wear their hair straight or natural? This person's hair is a little longer than shoulder-length. Also, it doesn't stay straight easily, even after flat ironing at a high temperature.

Please give product %26amp; technique recommendations. I know what advice I'd give. I want to hear from others. What's would be your advice for dry, thinning, natural (not relaxed) African-American hair?

Go to a salon and ask for an advice from a hairstylist or a hair expert. There are the ones who knows everything we need to know about how to take care of this matters. And a quick tip after you've done taking a bath brush your hair with a large comb especially designed and made for curly hairs. Lastly apply conditioner everyday for a successful and beautiful result.
This person needs to deep conditon their hair, conditoner wash, do oil rinses, comb less, not brush, shampoo when its needed, and look up websites that help with natural african american hair.
you should use pink morterizer sold in wal mart and other stores try not to use curling irons or any thing that would heat up your hair or go to a good hair dresser he/she would tell you what to do
