What kind of advice do u have 4 someone who wants 2 be a jockey?

I've been around horses my whole life and and im a pretty good rider but I want 2 get better because I really want 2 be a jockey!! any advice??What kind of advice do u have 4 someone who wants 2 be a jockey?
Starve yourself until you're sick. You need to be around 100-110lbs, no more.

Get used to pain. Jockeys go through broken bones and other injuries all the time. As a new jockey, you'll be put on some of the worst horses.

Get used to being peniless. New Jockeys get put in the lowest rung horses which means you'll get only a tiny amount of money per ride. Plus you'll be buying your own health insurance which should be quite high!

Overall not a good career. Maybe instead be a pro rider for eventing or dressage?

Go rent the movie called ';Jockey';. It covers the lives of 3 professional TB racing jockeys. It'll really open up your eyes. What kind of advice do u have 4 someone who wants 2 be a jockey?
well i say people who can afford a horse can afford some one to teach them!! nah but good luck and don't forget about the Little people!
take lessons. there r stables everywhere. also if u want to be a jockey go to a track and ask around. even a racing stable around would proibily hire u to exercise the horses.
just be careful when u turn into a jockey and if i was u i would want to be a jockey but im not
as with any horse rider, if you fall off get back on. id also reccomend a feild trip to a race track. talk to workers near the stable. if you see a jockey. he/ she will probly be very happy to talk to you. people like to talk about common intrests.
there is a school for jockeys if you really want t obe one go to school. Their employment rate after school is 100%

well you better be super short and weigh like less then 115!!! i know that much!

maybe ask local race tracks if they are looking for ';pony riders'; or excercise riders and start getting involved with a trainer at the track firstly, then from there ask around the track and see what they say!
