Anything to help you to get into the professional service industry: Economics, tax, law, policy, political science, psychology, philosophy.
Beyond that there is medicine, engineering and computer related studies.I'm about to go to college again and I'd like some advice on what would be a smart subject to study?
Well let's see. If somebody had asked me in 1985 what, given ';today's'; economy would be a great job to prepare for I might have said ';typewriter repair person';. That would indeed have been a great job to know in 1985. But pretty soon it would have been shown to be a pretty terrible career move. In other words, preparing for today is to prepare for the past by the time you graduate. My advice is whatever you do go for fundamentals, go for flexibility, go for basics. Math and philosophy are always good. Economics is better than business. Electrical engineering is better than network systems etc.
Good luck
Engineering is always in demand! Jobs for electronics eng'g., electrical eng'g.. and industrial eng'g. are almost everywhere!!!
