Anyone have advice on what routine and what sort of equip[ment is good and affordable?cheerrs allI want to start lifting weights etc and am considering buying a weights bench?any advice would be welcome?
Dude do crossfit, screw that bench stuff. The muscle you gain for beching isnt even applicable to real life. Crossfit, is cheaper equipment wise and youll be way more tone. Hell try this workout from crossfit.com ';Murph';

Run 1 mile

100 pull ups

200 push ups

300 air squats

run 1 mile

(you can partition the workout like 10 pull ups 20 puch ups 30 squats, put a basketball underneath you to make sure your *** touches it on the squats. The pull ups most go from fully locked out to chin above bar, and push ups chest must hit the ground)

Do it for time and post results on crossfit.com to compare with others. Crossfitters are known to be some of the most fiittest people around thats why the military uses it. I GARANTEE you do crossfit for three months youll be one mean ripped and lean dude.

As for equipment all you really need to start with is a couple kettlebells, pull up bar, eventually get the 45 lb olympic bar with some bumber plates.
