My 10 year old daughter wants to be in a local pageant,any advice?

I'm looking on advice on what kind of dress she should wear, should she wear makeup what kind of shoes? Attire calls for pageant, party, or sunday wear.My 10 year old daughter wants to be in a local pageant,any advice?
ok take her to a nice dress store,let her pick out her dress,let her pick out her shoes,ask her if she feels comfortable wearing make up,if so maybe go to a salon for a nice day for the 2 of u before the pageant and have them do her hair and make up.oh and one thing dont listen to rory,if your daughter wants to be in a pageant go for it,isnt your dream for her to follow her dreams,i personally dont think anything is wrong with lil girls and pageants,when i was 1 year old i was in a pageant,nothing wrong with it,i mean dont let her be a little pageant brat,some of those girls think they can get anything they want and if they dont they are even brattier,also dont push her to much, i mean i no your not a pageant mom,you came here looking for advice so obviously you wont be pushy,just when you go there watch the other girls and see how much of an angel your daughter is,enjoy it,let her follow her dreams,let her have fun with it.My 10 year old daughter wants to be in a local pageant,any advice?

every little girl wants to be pretty and a princess, just make sure you both keep a level head and an objective view ... google previous pictures and photos for similar pageants to get a better idea ... pageant, party, or sunday wear seems like a broad description to me ...
Didn't you see any of the Dr. Phil shows about pageants and children?. The mother's are sickening...I'm sure you don't want to end up like that.
