I am going to be dying my hair at home any advice?

I have light/medium brown hair and I want to go slightly darker, I want a rich color with alot of shine. Any advice on what brand of dye to use and techniques I could use when I dye my hair?I am going to be dying my hair at home any advice?
well when your done putting the products in your hair then wrap your hair in plastic wrap that way your hair absorbs the color more and it'll last longer. i think most instructions say that tho. i learned it from my friends mom and she owns a beauty boutique.

my best friend and i dye our hair all of the time. most brands are pretty good nowadays. i rly like garnier nutrisse....it's not super expensive, it works good, gives me great color, and the conditioner it comes with is pretty awesome too lol. if you're not impressed with it i suggest trial and error. every brand is good, you just have to experiment a little to find what's best for your hair.
loreal feria is the best but be care full if you get a dark brown it probably gonna come off black at first so try to go just a few sade darker
